We conducted four training sessions in the area of health with health workers from the indigenous territory. Two people from each of the 12 villages in the indigenous territory participated in each course, forming a group of 24 young future health workers from their respective municipalities.
THE PROJECT
The goal is to teach and train a group of young people in primary health care while promoting the ancestral wisdom of the Huni Kuín people's forest medicine. We carried out four training activities in the area of health with health agents from the indigenous territory. Two people from each of the 12 villages in the indigenous territory participated in each course, forming a group of 24 young future health agents for the territory. With the supportof health training, each village now has two people with basic first aid knowledge. They are the future health agents of their communities.
