We carried out four training courses in the area of health for the indigenous territory's health agents. Two people from each of the 12 villages in the indigenous territory took part in each course, making up a group of 24 young future health workers from their respective municipalities.
THE PROJECT
The aim is to teach and train a group of young people in primary health care and at the same time promote the ancestral wisdom of the Huni Kuín people's forest medicine. We carried out four training courses in the area of health with the health agents of the indigenous territory. Two people from each of the 12 villages in the indigenous territory took part in each course, making up a group of 24 young future health workers in the territory. With the support of the health training, each village has two people with basic knowledge of first aid. They are the future health agents of their communities.
